Vegan Cinnamon rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
Dough
- 80 g vegan butter
- 2 cups or 480 ml oat milk
- 2 tsp dry yeast
- 60 g or 1/2 cup sugar
- 575 g or 5 cup AP flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Softened vegan butter
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Dark chocolate
- Canola oil
Cooking instructions:
- Melt the butter and add the 2 cups of oat milk to it making sure the final temperature of the mix is 37 degrees Celsius.
- Add the yeast and 60 g of sugar and mix well.
- Move to a bigger bowel and add the 5 cups of flour, mix well and cover for an hour.
- Add the salt and baking powder to the dough, mix it again and sprinkle some flour on top.
- Move the dough to a flour dusted surface.
- Roll the dough into a rectangular shape with hand or a rolling pin.
- Paint the rolled dough with softened butter then distribute sugar and cinnamon evenly.
- Roll the short side and cut into 4 to 5 cm thick slices then move to an oven tray leaving 1 to 2 cm spaces between each slice.
- cover the tray and let it rise while you heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Bake the rolls till the top is light brown and serve with melted chocolate drizzle, add canola oil to the melted chocolate to stop it from hardening.
